I believe I spoke with you during a chat session.....there may be one possibility to try and that is to disconnect the cmos or (RTC) battery for at least 45 seconds. Then reconnect....go into the BIOS and find the title "Set System defaults" maybe on the F10 page. Save and Reboot. See if this resets everything for you. The only stickler is that I believe the rtc battery on those is under the palm rest, so the laptop will have to be dsassembled. I have a service guide for the P205, that shows the steps. Good luck,
