well the 1000 watt amp is'nt pushing my 10 and 12 like nothing. my 250 watt amp pushed harder then the brand new 1000 watt amp?????????? well I have the XM-2165GTX, And The 12" subs just do not sound right in my truck I had a special Box made just for the XS-L120P5W subwoofers And with the 1000watt amp Gain nob turned half way up it distorts really bad It kinda sounds like the Air space is wrong in the box. Everyone I now says it sounds good, but I have installed stereos for competition, and I can here the speakers distort, Can you help me? 2nd. Question Can you tell me the Required air space for these 12" subs XS-L120P5W, I have 2 of them and it is in a sealed box For a 2000 Chevy ext. cab truck. Thank you for your time William Palmer
i have 2 12" kicker comp and i run them both off of them and they sound great. i ran both of the speaker wirer to the same output terminal and that solved my problem.

That's not a 1000w amp. It's a 400 watt amp when loaded to it's lowest rated load. If you have one speaker per channel (the only safe load if you have single 4 ohm coil speakers), you're only getting 165 watts/speaker. It's probably distorted because you're driving it to clipping.
