Illustrator CS2 or Photoshop 7 ----> File menu ----> import

Hook the printer to the pc and using the software scan the photo, when finished,select save photo or image and it will ask you in a pop window where you want to save it and what format, gif, bmp, jpg etc. (drop box at bottom of save window) below file name - select a location and file type, name the photo and then press save.
