Kodak C633.... Hello....I would like a few suggestions on what i can do. It was a few weeks ago while grabbin' my camera an when i pulled it outta the case it slipped b4 I got a hold of the strap an it dropped onto carpet. Everything works fine on it except the LCD screen shows horizontal lines that are spaced a pinky finger apart from top to bottom. Can still make out pictures an stuff..the lines are about a finger-nail of thickness. Do I need to replace the LCD? An if I don' long will it take b4 it bleeds internally an I cannot see anything? Re: Kodak C633....

No It can be replaced for under 100.00 and you keep your camera. It is a pretty easy fix.

The LED screen on my Kodak EasyShare C633 Digital Camera is broken - no picture shows through - is there such a thing as replacing an LED screen?

Yes, you can certainly do this. Although i would rather suggest that you get this done by an professional.

You can take your camera to your nearest camera repair shop, they will be able to replace the screen for under $40.

Hope this can steer you in the right direction. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards

I have a kodak easy share c633 and even though I put good batteries in the scope will not come out to take pictures. What can I do? Thanks

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel after dropping it. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope the advise is useful.

Power On the Kodak C633

akaline batteries batteries are not powerful enough to last more than a few shots, maybe 15 or 20 depending on the lcd screen if its running all that time.
use a much heavier NiMh (nickel metal hydride)
they last for 50 to 100 shots.
if you still have the issue then its a camera circuit issue
Consider rechargeable as they save a fortune
