1) You need to check the power supply itself to mkae sure it still puts out the DC voltage as indicate on the power supply.

2) You may have cracked solder joints at the DC input jack of the laptop.

Hello !

Either the power source, battery, power adapter, or power jack is faulty.

1. Power source - if connected to a power strip, flip the switch. Move to another outlet.

2. Remove the battery (disconnect cables, flip laptop, unlock and slide out) and try to power on with just the adapter. If it works, battery is faulty.

3. Power adapter to laptop is faulty. Replace. If you have an identical system to test (and it needs to be identical), try on another laptop.

4. Power jack - repair power jack (may need to be serviced).

Hope this helps.

Zoostorm laptops

please read and execute the commentaries. God bless you
Charging Conventions

  • The majority of laptops will display a solid green, blue or purple battery light to indicate that the battery is fully charged. Most manufacturers indicate that a laptop is in the process of charging by displaying a solid or blinking green, orange, blue or purple light. If your battery indicator light is green, blue or purple, the battery is probably functional, regardless of whether the light is blinking. If the light is solid orange, the laptop is probably in the process of charging.

Battery Error Coneventions

  • Many battery manufacturers use rapidly blinking lights to indicate that a battery's charge level is low. In general, a laptop will rapidly blink orange or red when its charge drops below a certain level until the computer is plugged into a power outlet and charged. If your laptop's battery indicator continues to blink rapidly in orange or red or if it remains red even when it is plugged into the charger, it indicates a problem with your battery or the charger.

Advent Roma 1001 laptop. Turning on the laptop via the mains supply, the laptop springs to life and have no problems. The battery icon shows 100% charged and the battery l.e.d. light glows blue. Turn off...

The fact that the laptop is recognising the battery's presence and yet is not receiving any power from it is not a good sign I'm afraid. There are batteries available online for around £40 but you may want to take the laptop to a repair centre first where they can usually tell you (for around £7-£10) if it is definitely a battery malfunction or not before you splash out on a new one.
Sorry I can't be any more help, battery issues are usually pretty black and white, they're either broken or working. Hope you manage to get it sorted either way.

I have an HP Pavilion 9000 that was working just fine. We powered it down for the day and when we went to start it up the next day it would not start. Blue light is lit where power supply plugs into...

That a nice computer you have there. Based on your description, my guess is you have a bad power supply.
About a $300 fix if you send back to HP. Which is what I had to do a while back.

Wireless/LAN indicator on pc stays amber

best advice is as long as it's working don't try to fix it. you may cause more problems than you solve. as long as you get the internet ok, do you really care what color the light is?

Nc6320 Laptop power

hello the first thing to make sure of is that the ac adaptor cable is not having any partial contacts ofany kind whereby power gets into the laptop irregularly.this could have adverse effect on the circuitry. it is not enough just checking the output of the ac adapter by a meter.try straighten the cable from the adapter and check the meter for voltage fluctuations. if the above is okay then the problem could be on board leve.
