* If you don't have a parts list, go to the Sears website. They offer them there. It should show in one of the sketches how and where the belt needs to be routed. Step 2 * Then go to a sears repair with your old belt and part number and buy a new one. Make sure you compare the belts to each other to make sure they are the same. Step 3 * If you have a newer mower, there should be a decal on the mower deck showing how the belt is routed. I can't say exactly how to route the belt since I don't know what mower you have. Ours had the decal and there was a sketch in the manual. Step 4 * Loosen the keepers at the drive pulley and pull the belt down and off. Step 5 * You may have to disconnect a side of the mower deck. Step 6 * Slide the belt back on as per routing instructions. Step 7 * Put the belt keepers back exactly how they were before. Step 8 * Watch out for idler wheels and make sure the belt is on the correct side.

the discharge chute does not stay in place when turned. When I tok it apart, the bearing and spring were missing, I have a bearing and spring but how do they set in the track? Is the bearing supposed to move as you turn the directional chute?
