Question about LG enV VX9900 Cellular Phone

Stuck in Emergency mode

My EnV is not getting any signal- im in an area where i normally have great signal and it's stuck in emergency 911 mode with the little diamond symbol on top. it won't take or make calls and it refuses to work. i tried turning it off and on, changing the location from location to e911 only and back again and nothing is working! please help!

    My enV is stuck in E911 mode so I can't make any calls. People can recieve my calls but when they answer there is nothing and i can't hear them either. My text messeging is still intact but that it my only way to communicate. I tried restoring the factory settings and iot changed everything but the E911 setting. Help please.

Open the flip part, hit the " O.K" key and hit 0 ( zero)
The code is al zero's.

Be carefull in here, go through the munues and options and looks for the reset phone option and select it, it should reboot the phone and return all the settings to default.

You could also try dialing *228 and send, see if it updates

I havent done this in a long time so i cant tell you how to exactly navigate the service menu because my envy broke and i cant use the keypad.

But there are options to set it to ( 1x ) on the roaming and other ways so that it only looks for Home based towers. You can set it to " Home Only " also, if it doesnt work, set it back to Dual.

These are just some options to try i dont know if it will work as you may have a hard ware problem and its nothing to do with the software.

    You may also just need to have it flashed by whatever company you have service with. usually they charge like $15 dollars unless they just didnt program it right from the get go, then they will do it for free usually. Just go in and say, " Since the first day its been doing this and i thought the phone was broken but my friend told me to ask you guys about flashing it." Like that, then they may just do it and not charge you.

Not sure of the Sony, but some other phones go into 911 mode if 911 is dialed - then every call goes only to 911. Somewhere in the settings there should be a Mode selection - normal, airplane, emergency, etc.

See if you can get to the settings for Mode - most phones lock into "Emergency Mode" if a call is placed to 911. There should be choices for Normal, Airplane and Emergency.

Is subscription paid up to date?
Check that your Sim Card is in place?
Get a hold of your provider.
Another person suggests:You might be set on the wrong network type. In my area O2 doesn't have a 3G (CDMA) mask so my galaxy S3 automatically switches to a network that does for "Emergency Calls" - which means your on another providers network just you can only make emergency calls.
What I have to do is force my galaxy S3 into GSM (2G) networks. So then it will connect to O2 mask and I can text/phone as normal.
Go to Settings, More Settings, Mobile Networks > Network Mode. Click GSM. See if that helps. If it does then go to "GSM/WCDMA Auto"
If not then you may not have any of your providers network masks nearby (go to another location to check this). Or the provider is having problems (check their website status page). I don't think a factory settings would help

Screen stuck on emergency calls


This usually means the subscription for phone service has expired and now the phone (''dialer'') can only be used for emergency calls such as 911. This is a matter of law. Federal law says _all_ cell phones (including those built into vehicles) _must_ be able to call emergency services, even if there is no current contract, etc...

do you mean in 'emergency calls only'? then that means that your phone can not be registered on your network

Emergency call


Check your sim card, might be faulty. It only default to emergency calls if it doesn't pick up your network signal.

Hi there,

Some automatic vehicles rely on the brake switch (mounted on brake pedal) to be activated by depressing brake pedal. This signal then operates a relay and switch, to release the gear lever.

Firstly, I would check the brake pedal switch (are your brake lights working?).

If brake switch is confirmed OK, then inspect the relay (and related circuit components) of the gear release switch.

Instructions
1 Pay off your phone bill. Some cell phone companies allow your phone to only reach emergency services if you have oustanding charges. Pay your cell phone bill, or add money to your prepaid account, to prevent your phone from just making emergency calls.

2 Cancel your emergency plan. Cell phone companies provide this feature free, especially to those who are 50 years or older. If you do not need the plan, then cancel it to prevent making accidental emergency calls.

3 Stay within your roaming area. If you travel out of your area, some cell phones and providers (e.g., BlackBerry, iPhone and AT&T) will only allow you to make emergency, or 911, calls.

4 Click "OK" and "Contacts." Navigate to "Emergency Contacts," or a selection with similar wording. Select "Disable." This prevents you from making accidental calls to 911.
