It will depend if the shop gave you a 3 / 6 or 1 years gaurentee with thier repair, it also depends if a different fault has occured. For example if the last repair was for a sound fault & this time the fault is a blank screen, then this is a completly different fault & un-associated with the previous problem, therefore this is a different area of repair & will be charged accordingly to fix.

Toshiba HD ready TV ct 90158 makes high pitched sound

A high pitch sound can be a capacitor losing power it would sound a bit like a fire work. most have back up on the board but it put more pressure on them the more times you use the tv. would check them and replace. all of them can be 5 in a row in some models.

2 of my 7 sony tv's have started blinking on and off, but after unplugging for 2 months one stopped blinking for awhile but started again. how do i fix these tv's? models kv-27ts32 and kv-24fv12

You cannot fix these by yourself. You'll simply need to call in a Sony-authorized Techie and pay the gentleman his asking fee to diagnose and repair your TVs. It sounds like the flyback transformers are about to say "bye, bye" to you, and this is normal. Sorry to hear about these unfortunate circumstances but nothing in life is guaranteed to last for ever. They do quit sooner or later....Especially the nicer ones! And it may not be worth the cost to repair them.

Dropped remote and broke it so brought universal remote and friend got it going. Then week later stopped working so changed batteries (even though new ones were already used) but it started working...

it depends on how many times and how long it sits on direct heat, that is never recommended for electronics,it could have a burnt board,i suggest to buy a new one, dont lay it on any heat source

Kenmore elite water dispenser not working

We had the same problem after 4 months. A technician came out and told us that our water line within the refridgerator was frozen and that every once in a while we'd have to take a hair dryer to it (!). Of course we told him that was unacceptable so they sent a second tech out who replaced some parts by being walked through the repair over his cell phone. He was unable to tell us what happened or details about the repair. 11 months later our water line froze again and we resorted to a Brita water pitcher.

3 times repaired

It could be the buffer board and sometimes it's best to just replace it. If the repairman has to come out again tell him to replace the board. especially if it is under warranty

Remotes no longer work

I had this exact same problem. After a week or so it started responding to the remote control again. Then after a couple of days it stopped responding. This problem came and went for about a month, then one day the entire TV went dead. When I powered it on, the green light appeared for 2 seconds followed by a sequence of 6 flashing red lights that repeated. I brought my set in to a repair shop and they replaced the power supply board. That fixed the problem and now the TV powers up and responds to the remote control again. Total charge was $250. That was very disappointing for a $1,500 TV that was only 18 months old. I'm going to let Philips know how disappointed I am in their product!
