Hi, I just opened my newly purchased Kenmore 335 Air Purifier, and found that it had a styrofoam piece inside the purifier.... is it supposed to be there or I need to open the unit and remove it?
There is a piece of styrofoam used in the construction of the air filter that is visible inside the unit. I think its there for noise reduction/insulation purposes and I wouldn't touch it if I were you. Unless you're talking about little styrofoam pieces that may have fallen in during packaging and shipping, I'd leave it alone.
Hope this helps.
