Hi there, about 6 months ago i bought a samsung 42" plasma and i've just started noticing this problem. After the tv has been on for a while, maybe an hour or 2, these groups of very bright blue pixels start showing up and spiking from the left side of the screen. It seems to happen when the screen shot changes, then blue pixels fade til the shot changes again. Its most noticable on solid single colours, eg. when your flicking through the source input (HDMI, AV1etc..), the tv displays what input you're on in a block at the top left of the screen, so every time you change source the pixels 'spike' out from the left and then slowley fade. Sorry for the vagueness buts its quite hard to describe......... Any ideas?
The model is PS-42Q7H (R)
Thanks

-   Same problem here.My Magnavox 40" plasma displays blue pixels on my left screen also. They appear on HD channels at first, but even when I am watching blue-ray movies. I called my warranty service and they changed the logic board on the tv. Guess what? It didn't help. I still have the same problem. Another technician is coming out to see it today. I'll post anything if there is a clear solution.-   miotico

-   Yes, I have a 40" magnavox plasma. I noticed the same blue pixels. They come and go, and sometimes they end up somewhere in the center. It does seem to be related to what is on the display because it comes back to the same scene and goes away with other tv shots.-   miotico

-   I have a Samsung 720p 42" with an HDMI connection. I had the TV for about 1.5 years and just noticed this same problem. After the TV is on for more than an hour, a blue blue appears on the left side of the TV. I don't have a warranty on it, so I am sure it will cost some $$ to have a repairman come out. I will mention your suggestion for adujsting the voltage.-   Chuck1972

-   If it helps I have a Media Centre (custom built) with Foxtel (Cable) and large speakers.. the large speakers are 40-50cms away from the tv on each side (the problem onyl occurs on the left).-   mrdouble08
try to adjust Vs & Vsc within 5% of their spec on the power supply board when you notice the problem.

- You need to open the back cover of your tv. There is no way you can do it with your PC. You can easily find the Vs & Vsc(or Vscan) locations printed on power supply boards. Also look at the Vs & Vsc specifications printed on the back of PDP panel. Try to get some help from persons who have some knowledge of plasma tv.
I have had the same problems with blue pixelation on the left hand side of the screen after 1.5 years of owning the TV. However I took out the extended warranty and had it repaired just yesterday. It was a firmware update that needs to be done on the TV to allow more voltage through the board, and it seems to have worked. Had the TV on all day yesterday and no sign of blue pixelation.
Im sorry to say I cant tell you what firmware version it was upgraded to. Hope this points you in the right direction for the fix though
u need to by a something board for the tv of ebay or amazon can be purchased for 30 to 40 pound i have the same problem if the rrom is kept cool it dusnt come up
