I want to remove the hose from the handle of the vacuum? I already removed the plastic clip. I thought that would free the hose, but it did not. Any ideas?

If this is a the hose on the Centralux, it has a detachable swivel handle surrounding a special cuff with electrical contacts. If you look closely you will see a series of hidden screw covers which will pop open revealing several screws. Once in side you can remove the screws and open the handle somewhat like a **** shell. Remove the handle cover section, then slide apart the handgrip from the actual hose. You will only be able to clean and lubricate contacts and spread them for greater tension on the contact rings of the hose. You can also clean the contact rings with a 600 wet dry sandpaper and lube lightly with petroleum jelly. There are no generic parts . All must come from an AERUS Electrolux repair shop.
