I have a problem with the interior light being burned out. My model number is JVM1790WK 01. It is the Microwave/Convection oven. It is mounted above the range. Can you get to the interior light without having to take down the microwave?? What are the steps? I saw a solution posted by dlarmstr for another model. Would the steps be the same? I really don't want to pay for a service call to replace a light bulb. Please help.
I also have the problem of a burned out interior light - i really miss it? How do you access the light /where is it located? Can't find anything in the instruction booklet that came with it. Thanks.
My light is out and I looked in the instruction book but this provided me no information. I would love to know how this is replaced as I really miss the light. Mine is a GE profile micro/conv. oven.
Had the same problem. I was told it was complicated so had a repair person come to replace the bulb once. It's already out again and I'd like to do it myself.
The interior oven light can be accessed in the following way:
1.Open door and remove the top grill via the 2 screws along the top edge.
2. In the interior light will be under metal plate with fasten by single screw. The halogen bulb is rated at 120V 20watt. Looks like a G-8 bulb with 8mm pin spacing with o.a.l. 1-5/8" long
If you need the electrical schematic, you can probably find it behind the control panel. Remove the front grill, remove the plastic grill above the control panel and lift and pull out the control panel. An envelope with the schematic will be glued to the interior wall of the oven.
