Yamaha RX-V3000 Receiver - No Sound

By wisesoc14 on Jan 01, 2008

" "
I have a Yamaha RX-V3000 Receiver and it has served me faithfully since I bought it in 2001. In early 2007 I packed up the receiver for a remodeling project and pulled it out right after Christmas a few days ago. I set it up this week and I now have no sound. The unit powers up with no issues and does not display any error messages or popping sounds. I have connected cd/dvd/satellite units via digital coaxial and optical as well as analog RCA connections and selected the source and still nothing. I connected all the devices via an Onkyo receiver and they all work fine. I am sure there is a simple issue, most likely a setup issue since it has been powered off for over 10 months, but cannot find the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
