I have a Yamaha RX-V3000 Receiver and it has served me faithfully since I bought it in 2001. In early 2007 I packed up the receiver for a remodeling project and pulled it out right after Christmas a few days ago. I set it up this week and I now have no sound. The unit powers up with no issues and does not display any error messages or popping sounds. I have connected cd/dvd/satellite units via digital coaxial and optical as well as analog RCA connections and selected the source and still nothing. I connected all the devices via an Onkyo receiver and they all work fine. I am sure there is a simple issue, most likely a setup issue since it has been powered off for over 10 months, but cannot find the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 5 year old Onkyo tx-sr601 with bose acoustimass 16. Last night, when I watch a movie, I cannot hear any sound. My receiver will still turns ON with the display working but no audio output. Tried different speaker but still no luck. I tried reseting the unit by disconnecting all wires and leave it overnight but the unit doesn't seem to reset itself. I'm very confuse right now. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
