Kenmore dishwasher keeps flashing clean, it wont run please help mod #665.17019401

Reset the Control Panel
A power surge or outage may cause the "Clean" light to flash continuously after power is restored. Pressing the buttons on the panel in order and within 5 seconds resets the control panel and turns off the flashing light. The buttons must be pressed in the following order: "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash." After pressing the buttons, your Kenmore dishwasher will begin a short, 12 minute test cycle and reset the control panel.

Door Switch
A broken door switch can keep a Kenmore dishwasher from operating correctly, resulting in a flashing "Clean" light. Testing the door switch requires removing the door panel to access the control panel holding the switch in place. A continuity tester can determine if the switch has failed once you remove it from the door. Replace the switch if it fails to pass the continuity test. Make sure to disconnect the electricity to the dishwasher before accessing the switch.

Please remove the power plug and keep aside for a while as the main control panel buttons are pressed to remove any residual voltage on the main board / processor.
If this wont reset then check the input sections, the door switches, the drain filters, the drain pump. Remove, clean and reset.
If not there are faults in the mother board.

Hi, if the clean light flashes it is indicating the was no rise in water temperature during the water heating cycle. This link below will explain things that could cause it and tell you how to reset the control so you can wash for now. Let me know if you have questions.

Usually light flash on computerized panels when there is a problem in the circuitry. Some have a 'pattern' to the flashes that will be know to a serviceman. Depending upon the problem it may be cheaper to buy a new unit than to repair an older one.

Now...keep in mind all dish washers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up as I have referenced, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.

Sometimes this can be a momentary glitch in operation. However, if the problem keeps reoccuring the number of flashes is an indication of which circuit is causing your problem. Again, refer to your tech sheet to determine this.

HI, this is a dirty filter alert. it could also be a control fault as well. clean the filter and, disposal as well. if this alert cannot be cleared, replace the control board or, timer.

to whom it may conern:
about six month ago I purchese the dishwasher, But It just stopped working, the green clean light just blinks all day and night, but wont start it's, when I push the red start button comes on but turns off about 5 seconds later turns of, and wont run and clean my dishes. Could you please help me get strat the dishwasher to start up and run again. Thank you patrick c smith

Only reset you can do is unplugging power cord for 10 minutes.
The control panel it is probably faulty and in need for replacement.

i was trying to install my kenmore elite 665 dishwasher but i cant find the plug do they come with one? or were do i hook it up?
