Question about Mitsubishi VS-60719 60" Rear Projection Television
A private company was called and asked to diagnosis the problem. Te repairman stated that the problem more than like the VIde Processor. The repairman took the TV back to their shop and claimed to have replaiced the REB Video Processor Assemby at a cost of $557.49 ($265.00-Part and $250.00-labor).
Since this did "Not" solve the problem , I aksed a 2nd television company to repair the telvision. The 2nd repair company stated that the Video Board needed to be replaced.
According to the 2nd repairman stated that the Video Processor was located on the Video Board.
I want to know if the 2nd repairman's statement is correct. I have refused to pay the 1st repair company because I had to hire a 2nd repair company to fix a problem that the 1st repair company was supposed to have fixed when they "claimed" to have replaced the Video Processor. I am also of the opinion that the 1st repair was unnecessary and maynot have even been done! Though I am not able to prove that the 1st repair company did not replace the Video Processor as they claim, I have refused to pay for the repairs.
Is there any way I prove my suspicions?
The first thing that happened is that the television began to fluctuate between color and B/W. Then horizon lines approximately 3 inches apart begin to scroll vertically across the screen in 15 to 45 seconds intervals.
As instructed I pressed the input and menu button for 5 to 8 seconds and then released the buttons. The message read TV - Y7.
Does this help?

Yes if you tell me what was originally wrong with set! First thing that needs to be done is self diagnosis test. You can do this by pressing the input/device button and menu at the sametime on your set after you turn on. Hold it for 5 seconds. It will have a 2 digit sequence blink. This will be the error code. Let me know what it is. For more info ctechnicians.com
