Question about Belkin (F5D7230-4) Router (587009)
My wireless computer which is running windows xp does not allow me to connect to internet explorer yet i can connect to windows messenger and yahoo chat. After contacting my service provider my main computer running the same software was unable to connect also. I run belkin for there answers and the ip address had changed on the main computer, i have reset the router but the ip address is not the same as the wireless computer. how do i set the ip addresses to match again. the wireless computer is still showing the original ip address. i can now connect to the internet with the main computer, but still no luck with the wireless. i have closed all firewall settings. what else could i possible do, as i'm not that good with settings of computers. could you please advise what to do but in simple terms for me.
Somewhere in the network connections settings I recall seeing a checkbox to tell the laptop to automatically determine the IP address when connecting (as opposed to using the same one every time). Sorry I don't recall more specific directions ....
