Re: Video

You may have to replace the screen or video converter but first can you plug a external monitor to the back of your computer on the video conector i'm sure you can see a good image so if that is ok the problem is on the video converter or screen and you can get the part on ebay

How do I connect my sony vaio vgn-fs920 to a tv?

As far as I know I need:
1) to purchase that VGA - S-Video Adapter ?
2) to purchase S-Video Cable itself ?
3) to purchase something like audio AV cables as well ?

Does anybody know where I can buy VGA - S-Video Cable (without Adapters) if it's possible and DO I NEED TO BUY AUDIO CABLE IF I'M GOING TO CONNECT THRU S-VIDEO?

Sony Vaio Laptop LCD pixulates

If you cannot change the resolution greater that 640X480 and the color quality greater than 16 bit, then the video driver appears to be faulty or not installed.
Check the video driver in Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager, the video driver.

The vertical line is a bad pixel sensor at the edge of the screen, your screen has hundreds of vertical and horizonal pixel sensors. This is an indicator that the screen is going out and need replacing.

YES, if you are under mfg warranty from best buy or bought their service plan and it has not expired they will ship it for you. They will need your receipt or they can search for it. If this was not bought from best buy, contact who you bought it from or the mfg.
