If the card is locked, you could the steps below:
- Turn off camera
- Remove memory card
- Take a look on the switch of the memory card itself
* If it's at the TOP = card is UNLOCKED
* If it's at the BOTTOM = card is LOCKED
- So, you just have to make sure that the switch is at the top
for the memory card to be UNLOCKED
After doing that, you just have to put back the memory card to your camera and turn on the camera. Try to check if this works.

Hi Aisha,
I had the same problem but and i checked the small tab on the side of the card. it was in unlock position. i subsequently fixed the card adaptor to rest firmly on the side of the switch using a small paper wedge on the opposite side. This cleared the problem. However card adaptor should now not be removed otherwise you may revert to original problem

I just wanted to say "thank you" for posting this advice--I had no idea the memory card had a switch, and I just had the same problem...having buried my instruction manual deep under papers somewhere in my too-full apartment, I had no idea what to do. But I googled, and found your solution, and now I can take pictures again :-) Thanks!!!
