Yeah, Guitar Hero 3 on the PS2... Had it for a week or so, and the wireless receiver light doesn't turn no matter how many times I stab the restart button. The controller is fine, light turns on and searches for the receiver but, like I said, crappy receiver died.

I am trying to play Guitar Hero III and cannot get the wireless guitar to work on my playstation 2

  • frazzled2 Jan 05, 2008

Yes...I also have this problem...my reciever worked fine for 2 weeks, then nothing. No matter what i do the reciever light won't go on. Batteries in controller are new and strong...and controller light is working....tried everything the instructions suggest....still, reciever isnt working

  • GH3Hopefull Jan 06, 2008

Same issue as frazzled2 - I even returned the first guitar, but unfortunatly I'm having the same - no responsiveness. Batteries new, checked the arm, but no such luck. I even put the unit in another room to see if there was other distortion (wireless network, etc.) ....still not working. May have to return yet again.

Have the Guitar Hero III wireless guitar (black). The light on the guitar is flashing but the receiver is doing anything at all. It doesn't respond to holding the reset button or anything. It's only about 2 weeks old. What can we do.

  • gamer_mom Feb 18, 2008

The receiver for my son's Guitar Hero III for PS2 stopped working after about two weeks. First it stopped working (ie no notes were registerred for the game) but the lights still flashed. A day later the lights did not flash either. I assume I need to buy a new receiver but cannot find out where to get one.

I purchased Guitar Heroes 3 for PS2 with 2 wireless guitars; the Cramer and the Reaper. Put brand new batteries in the Cramer, plugged the receiver in and turned the game on and then turned on the guitar. The red light flashes on the receiver and the light flashes on the guitar briefly then shuts off unless I push a random button. Reset several times and no luck, it's not connecting.

The reaper shows a solid yellow light and a solid green light, which means the guitar is connecting to the receiver, but NONE of the buttons work. Any suggestions or should I just exchang them?

  • lorilyn949 Jul 20, 2008

the red light on the wireless receiver doesn't come on for Guitar Hero PS2. I have dual guitars, both work but can't get light to come on one of the receivers.

one make sure you plug in the wireless adapter first before turning the ps2 on

2) make sure the guitar is TURNED on, if it is you should see the red light on the guitar blinking

Guitar hero wireless guitar with PS2, guitar sync light seems to flash normally, but the receiver on the PS2 seems completly dead, can we change just the receiver part ?

Yes you can change just the receiver. There isn't anything wrong with your guitar so just change the receiver. The wireless guitars work with any other PS2 wireless guitar hero guitar receivers.
