Generic problem for all Camcorders

SAMSUNG CAMCORDER wont recorder

Got this camcorder for christmas in 2003 just used it 4 times when I
tried to use it this christmas it would not recorded just said r-emg Eject
then I put another tape in it eat it please help by tell me if camcorder
can be fix's thank you

My mom is having the same problem. Trying to find a solution for her. Hope someone can help.
