- The phone line is operational. I did notice that the phone line runs from the wall to the phone and from the printer to the CPU. The telephone port on the printer was not attached. I've attempted to troubleshoot and tried a couple different configurations: (1) (a) ran the phone cable from the wall to the wall jack port on the printer, (b)ran the cable from the telephone port on the printer to the phone and (c) ran the cable from the computer port on the printer to the CPU (this was the original configuration and both the printer and phone worked).
