What does the number wheel on the handle just below the steam buttons do?
I have the same problem
I know someone who can solve this problem

Chooses the temperature.
Being general, usually the higher the number the higher the temperature.
Check your garment for the correct temperature and the instructions for iron for the exact temperatures represented.
