Sound, no picture, no display, just a black screen

I have a Hitachi Digital HDTV that is about 3-4 years old. I get sound, but no picture. there is no display at all. Please advise if this is a problem that can be fixed.

its a Hitachi DLP
it has a lamp that illuminates the screen
it has most likely failed in your owners manuel it should be more specific and you can order a lamp and replace it your self
and you can order a lamp off of line or call hitachi
