Hi,

Trojan - That's the biggest threat to your PC/Notebook as it might help Hackers to collect some information from your PC.

3 Options :-

1. Download the Anti-Virus Software. The best one is :-

http://free.avg.com/us-en/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition

Download , Save on Desktop . Install and Run. Restart the PC and Scan the PC.

Note - Virus already affected your PC functioning.

2. Format the HD ( Hard Disk ) and again Install Windows ( I always prefer that, if a person is using PC for Online transactions that might involve Credit Card, Account, Social Security or any personal information ).

3. Restore.

Go to :-

Start > Programs.> Accessories > System Tools > Restore.

( Best Option, if the system allow ).

Select the oldest Restore Point and it's all Done!!

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

If you do not have a virus program you will have to get one. Either that if you know the file that was infected try deleting that file. But virus's spread, so your best bet would be to get a virus removal program right away. When you start your computer in safe mode, make sure you choose the "with networking" capability and try to get avast

http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-free-home-antivirus-antispyware.html#11

It is free to use and just install and scan.
If you cannot access the internet you may want to try going to the store to buy an antivirus program. I recommend Mcafee Security Center.

I have 26 trojan virus's. How do i get rid of them if my windows essential won't open due to the virus's?

First, you need to get a copy of AdAware from Lavasoft. They have a free version. You may need to run this 2 or 3 times to get most of them off.

Second make sure you have the latest version of your antivirus software updated. If you do not have antivisrus software you need to get a copy. There are free versions of that online as well.

If you are having trouble getting them installed because of the viruses, copy the files to a flashdrive from another computer, Without connecting your computer to the network load and install the files using the flashdrive. You may have to use safemode.

If that does not work let me know what messages you are getting.

I think there is a virus that has got into my e-mail account and is sending random links to my contacts so i was wondering how I can get ride of the virus?

Hi,
That virus is not in your e-mail. You must install antivirus and protection against virus, spyware, trojans, software on your computer!

Plese use adaware:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
It's better if you install/update and run in safe mode with no internet connection!

Try online scan from antivirus website!

Internet explorer wont open have to start in safe mode

Start with running your antivirus scans in safe mode...you may have a trojan or worm on there that prevents you from going into programs and you are always more able to remove viruses, etc, in safe mode than in normal startup

Internet options in IE 8 not working

You could have a virus or trojan in your temp files, start your pc in safe mode, usually tap f8 when starting, try to run internet options
and delete all temp and cookies. I would go to AVIRA and run there online anti-virus scanner. they are the top anti-virus software on the planet, next is Kaspersky then Eset Nod 32.

Internet

To stop your PC from restarting whenever it encounters a fault: Click Start, Control Panel, open "System", then under the "Advanced" tab select "Settings" in the Startup and Recovery section and uncheck "Automatically restart" under "System Failure". Once that is done you can do a manual windows update and see if there are critical and IE (internet explorer) updates that may cure your internet connection problems. You may also want to run a full system virus scan in Safe Mode to eliminate any viral threats that may be causing the problem, as there are current trojans that are affecting IE and Firefox (probably others) Browsers.
I hope this helps.

Cant access files

I wouldn't try to install Norton on a machine I suspected had a virus (or at all really). There is a Norton removal tool on the Symantec website that might be useful, but you still need to get rid of the Trojan. There are a lot of free online virus scanners that should do the job. If you can go online in safe mode that would be best, or you could disable everything on startup using MSConfig.
