Question about Brother MFC 240C All-In-One InkJet Printer
I rarely use this printer. I have probably only printed 3 or 4 color pictures since I’ve owned the thing. I print some black and white documents.
I used it about a month ago and it worked fine.
Anyway today I plugged it in and I got an “install yellow” message. I removed and reinstalled the “Genuine Brother Cartridge” and nothing happened. I’ve tried it with the power off and the power on, nothing.
The machine is useless. None of the buttons work. I can’t turn it on or off, the menu buttons, the arrow buttons, nothing works. It is useless.
Check all other carts. It might be that one (or more) carts are empty, too. Thats why the machine refuses to work properly.
Unplug from power, wait two minutes and replug again.
If it doesnt come up correctly the maincircuit baord might be defective due to a defective electrical part.
Do leave the machine always on power connection. You can turn it off by pressing the stand-by-fax button, but you have to keep the machine with power supplied. Set date and time. The machine runs some automatic cleaning cyles every 20 days to keep the nozzles alive and that prevents the permanent ph from drying out!
