I have a HP monitor for 2yrs now. It was working

I have a HP monitor for 2yrs now. It was working fine until recently I noticed that whenever I boot up the monitor goes into sleep mode and the PC is not coming on. How can I resolve this problem and can you tell me what is causing my monitor to continually go in sleep mode?

The problem you are encountering is not your monitor but your computer. There is a problem with your CPU unit. To know this info in true then try this.,remove the connections of the monitor from your own computer then use the monitor to the other computer and see. Hope this could help you determine the real problem.
