How do I get rid of purple and green wiggly lines?
How do I get rid of purple and green wiggly lines? The black screen that appears when switching between channels was green a couple of weeks ago, that problem stopped after I unplugged the set for a while. The purple and green lines still appear, although not as bad. The purlpe lines appear in a white background and green on dark backgrounds.

You have a bad LCD control board,It overheats and causes colored lines,screen to darken,or the color go floresent. Also check the power supply for bad caps.
when you have it apart.They usualy go bad on these tv's. It will cause the tv to take longer to come on.Or you have to hit the power button several times to get it on.
