Question about Kenwood KDC-X591 CD Player
I installed the KDC-X591 into my explorer and cannot get it out of demo mode. I follow the instructions in the manual and it never comes up with "DEMO ON" or "DEMO OFF" in the display.
Also, in the manual it says you can purchase a steering remote control adapter. I can't find one on the normal sites.
Instructions i was trying to figure out the same thing in my brothers car and i came to this site the two answers before mine were both right and wrong, they needed to be combined and modified a tic. but i just got my brothers kdc x591 and this is how hit source button till standby mode is on, press menu then use the control knob the right one thats not the volume, to select demo mode press the 1 button then menu and voila

This is part of the menu system. I think that you enter standby and then push the menu and it will give you the option to shut off demo.
