Try doing a hard reset.
Inset a non sharp object in the hole on the back of your unit. Use something like a paperclip. Hold down the power button and then use the paperclip on the back. When you see the palm powered logo then let go of the power button and follow the online directions for doing a hard reset. it will erase all your data and restore it to a brand new state. From there do a hot sync and that should solve your problem.
