check out the equalizer settings if it is ok then try to reset your fon if it doesnt work then check out the speaker of your fon it might be damage.thats are the all way to solve your problem.
when you call some one try pressing up the button on the left there are three buttons on the left and 1 on the right press the up button it will say on the screen ring style volume 7 or 6 or what ever you have set it up to but during the call when you press the same button it lowers or higher the volume of the speaker thats the easy way to do it
I have a RAZR v3 and I used the P2KTools VS to seem edit the volume. It is free and very easy to use.(DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING ELSE AS YOU CAN TOAST YOUR PHONE AND VOID WARRANTY) Just go to the sound application and load the settings from your phone on that page. Then, just click the arrow next to each volume settings just a notch or 2 to increase the volume (eg: for setting 7 to 9 volume) then set it and your good to go.
Have you raised the volume while you are on a call as this is the only way the ear piece volume increases.
If this doesn't work then I'm affraid you have a faulty earpiece
