Stuck/jammed discs in a Panasonic SC-PT750 Home Theater system

I could not get the disc tray to open on the player because of a stuck/jammed disc. I fixed it:

Remove the top by removing the screws and then you can remove the stuck/jammed discs. For the Panasonic SC-PT750 there are 7 screws, three small silver ones on the back, then 4 black ones, two on each side, all philips head. Once you have that off, gently pry it off starting from the back, the cover is actually hinged into the front plastic piece of the player.

DVD player makes grinding sound and doors don't open

You may have a stuck DVD in the player. Most DVD players have a small pin type hole in the front where you can inser a paper clip to manually open the tray. Otherwise, you have to remove the cover of the drive to actually see what is happening. support hp com Maybe this link will be of some assistance.

I have a new samsung bd-f5700 player and tray won't open. Tried using the remote to open & the panel on top of player to open. Nothing works.

First, try resetting your player. Unplug it from wall for at least 1 full minute, then plug it back in. If eject function (remote or top panel) still doesn't work:

MOST DVD players (including every one I have ever worked on or owned) have a tiny manual eject pinhole located close to the tray. You may have to gently open the flip door to see it. It is usually to the right of the disc slot, but could be underneath or elsewhere close by (use a flashlight, it can be hard to see). Carefully insert a straightened paper clip in the pinhole to eject the disc. (It shouldn't matter if machine is on, but for safety I usually do this with the machine OFF and unplugged).

If above fails, your only recourse is likely the disassembly of the machine (search "dvd disc stuck" on Google or YouTube), or taking your machine to a repair person. Best of luck to you.

How and where can i get a new panasonic dvd for my home theather system. model number sc-pt660. the disk changer does not open and close.

Considering that this unit comes as a bundle it wouldnt be profitable for stores to carry the parts seperatly. The best bet here would be if it still is within the 30 return policy then to take it back to the store you purchased it from to swap out for another. Since Im sure this isnt the case or you would have already done this you can try to save a dime by searching ebay for part systems and repairing or replacing the problem part in your tray (specifically being the tray motor). Theres plenty of tutorials for similar products found on Heres a link...

Dvd stuck in machine will not play or open to remove movie

there might be something hooking the disc tray that is prevent it from opening.

The solution to this problem now is to, get a screw driver, unscrew the screws on the player, open the player cover so that you can gain access to the disc stuck inside, remove the disc and check for what's preventing the player from ejecting.

Take care.

Disc table does not open or close - stuck open

Hello the unit is out of timing now, it will have to be taken apart and retimed. You have skipped some gear tracks and the unit will not close until the Tray is realigned. Try hitting the eject button so the tray comes all the way out then pull on it gently to see if it realigns it self. When it trys to go back in it is hitting the clamper because the tray has not reached home and the clamper that gasps the disk is closing before it has a chance to return home.

Disc Jammed

The best way to get your DVD out of the player will be to open up the unit with a screwdriver. Be careful to make sure you find all the screws and make sure if they are different you note which hole they came from.

If you feel uncomfortable with opening up the unit yourself, take it into a service center.
