Question about Nikon Coolpix 5700 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Nikkon DS1 I have to go to an event this evening, New Year's Eve, at the Rio. I haven't had my Nikkon very long and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I'm sure its not the camera, I'm sure its me not knowing how to use it properly. I did not receive a user's manual when I purchased this camera and I can't seem to get one. I have the camera set on automatic and most of the time, it does okay. However, my shutter when I hold it down seems to take a long time and then I'm getting a blurry picture and its an orange color. Can you help me out? Thanks. Amy

Re: Nikkon DS1

Hi Amy,

If you don't know how to use the camera, then I would suggest you spend some time visiting the various photography forums, sign up to one that suits you, and ask there. You can download manuals from the Nikon web sites.

Nikkon s70

Save yourself the aggravation 03/25/2011 MommybrainX2 rating.png My hubby bought this for me for Christmas. It was to replace my OLD Cannon (4 MP). Now he feels horrible for buying it for me! This camera is horrible! I read the manual, I've played with all of the settings- the fact is when trying to take a picture of a moving object- even slightly- the picture comes out extremely blurry. Forget it with a toddler. I have yet to get one good picture of my kids with this camera, which was the whole purpose of having it. My old 4mg camera takes better pictures than this thing does. Settings haven't made a difference. I have actually reverted to my old camera instead of using this sad excuse for a camera.

Hi Tina,
I feel your pain. No. Not really. But have faith. I've enclosed a Battery Symbol illustration that I just
drew myself. Take a look at it. There will be something on the screen of you camera that
will look like this.

You've done all Kodak asks you in their trouble shooting guide. As its less than a year old, I would recommend you go back to either Kodak or your retailer and request a refund or replacement under warranty.

Try an external usb card reader and let the card pop up as a drive on the Mac. You should be able to see everything. Just do not format the card or you will loose everything

Not taking pictures

The sensor sounds bad. The communication seems to have a too long of a delay. Meaning it is not snapping the shot as soon as the sensor goes off.
