Re: mem card

Check the pin alignment for compact flash as the sipix 3300 only takes compact flash standard not CF2 and only 128mb max capacity cards. From the pin grid to the end of standard card is 1 3/8"

Memory card error

pull mem card, pull battery. wait 10 secs reinstall battery, turn on.
if all is well, and just needs mem card, turn off, install card, turn back on.
if you get the memory card error, throw away that mem card, anything else you put it in, might get damaged.

See if the camera has a real little usb port on it. It may be covered by a plug or something. Usb cords come in a lot of shapes and sizes. Take the camera to an electronics store and they can find one for you, I'll bet. Then the camera can connect directly to the computer. Turn them both on and let them talk.

Card Error

1. Change batteries, MEM Error/Card Error can also be that the card is FULL in which caseyou upload those precious shots to the PC, then delete them from the card ;-)
2. Look at the card. Does it have a small slideswitch on one side? If so, that is the WRITE safety, and should be marked (ON/OFF, WRITE/SAFE, LOCKED/UNLOCKED etc...) If there is one, and it is not marked, simply slide it to the opposite position. If I recall, most are slide DOWN toward the gold contacts to allow writing and you may have inadvertently caught that slideswitch on the edge of the MEM card slot or the camera body when pushing in in and moved it UP to LOCKED.
3. Get an eraser and CLEAN those gold contacts
4. But another card and see if it works(?) if not, you may have bad or bent contacts INSIDE the camera ((in the MEM slot) which will require a steady hand to fix.

Let me know... I may be close enought to help

Memory card error

Take a look inside your camera's CF card slot. I suspect that you may have a bent pin in there. If so, remove batteries and card. Use a small/skinny jeweler's flat screwdriver to bend the pin back as close as possible. The jeweler's screwdrivers that you see at the dollar store will work fine. Another tool that I sometimes use is a stiff wire with a bent hook on the end to get very flattened pins started. Take your time and use as much patience as you can muster (take a breather in between if needed).

It doesn't have to be perfect, just as close as you can get it. When it's the best that you can get it, take your flash card and "SLOWLY" insert it. The card itself should fine-align the pin. Remove the card, and verify that the pin is still straightened. If so, reinsert the card and try it out.

Hi, thanks for responding

Please remove your battery and polish the terminals with a dry cloth and make sure the terminals are clean. If the terminals are covered with oil from your skin or similar matter, this may cause poor contact and power may not be fully supplied to the camera.

Also, polish the battery charger terminals with a dry cloth before charging the battery. If the terminals are covered with oil from your skin or similar matter, this may cause poor contact and the battery may not be fully charged.

Next please remove your memory card and format in your pc using card reader and then use it on your cam.If you have another mem card then use it in your cam and see if you face the same problem.

Also try removing your mem card and battery from your camera and allow it to reset for 20min,then just insert the battery without the mem card and see if you face the same problem.

If you need any more help let me know..
Please don''t forget to rate or accept the solution no. 2 in the premium problem.

Memory card issue

First off what is the size of the mem card? Second did you make sure that you formatted the mem card with the camera before you tried to use it? What I would recommed is transfer your files to your computer FIRST. Then format the internal memory of the camera once you have transfered them over. Insert your memory card and then format the mem card. Turn the camera off and take your mem card out. Try taking a video. Turn off camera. Put mem card back in and see if you can transfer that video now and it should work.
