Memory Card Locked
The card works fine in my other Canon Camera, but not in my A620. I've switched out the cards and nothing works in my A620, but they all work
in my other Canon. Memory Card Locked is all I get in the 620 and nothing works on camera. Lens comes out and the LCD screen lights up, but that is it.
Any help would be appreciated.

- Tried slider in both positions...format in camera is grayed out. I tried formatting in my other canon, but, of course, it is camera specific. It must be an in camera problem, but with the formatting unavailable, I think the camera might be ready for the trash can. Thanks for such prompt input. JeffSolution #1

I'm assuming the slide switch on the side of the card is in the correct position. In order for a card to work in a particular camera, it must first be formatted in that camera. This completely erases it so download any pictures still on it to your computer first.
