Question about Philips 60PP9202 60" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
All of a sudden the color changed............. is it something we did?
No sure what you mean the color changed. That could be caused by many reasons, and the most common is a bad convergence chip. Here is my regular response message to convergence problems:
You most likely have a convergence chip bad. In our shop, when we are working on projection TVs, we find that about 80% of the repairs we make are the same problem you are having. You need to replace the convergence chip ( there are 2 of the same chips on the convergence board, and I suggest you replace both ). If you are going to attempt the repair yourself you'll need to remember to use lots of heat sink grease so you don't have the same problem again. Also, try to get original parts, as there are times that the after-market ones don't work well. As a precaution, always remember to unplug the set from the wall before you do any work on the set. Good Luck
