Re: Brand New Speakers Distorted and not right...

Are you still using the same head unit? You could try to run a short set of new wire to one of the speakers directly from the unit. Had you previously used these speakers in another vehicle...what I'm getting at is that you need to isolate the problem. If the speakers test fine in another vehicle, I would think there is something wrong with the existing head unit

I recently installed some Audiopipe CRX-203 2 way crossover in my car along with some *** Tweeters ... the driver side works fine but the passenger side tweeter keeps burning out and gettin really hot....

Is it possible that the polarity of the tweeter is backward? Also, you may just have a defective tweeter. If it's heating up, it sounds like it may be bad.

The rear passenger side speaker seems to vibrate and the sound quality is bad

One of the most common problem with car door speakers are damage due to water entry. Remove the door pads and inspect the speaker for diaphragm damage. Especially if its a paper cone diaphragm it absorbs moisture and looses its rigidity, which will lead to muffled sound due to lack of high frequency response. If you are replacing them change to a new generation polypropylene diaphragm type, they last longer because they are immune to water splashes and heat.

I installed a new Sony CD player in my 1996 Toyota Forerunner and the speakers won't work. The player has power but there is no sound. I did not use a wiring harness but I did have the wiring diagram for...

Be sure that the wires are connected correctly. If no sound comes out could be speakers are bad, but highly unlikely that all four would be. Could be the stereo amplifier is out. You could try using an amplifier to connect the speakers. One other option run new wire to each speaker to make sure wiring is still good. Problem with focal k2 power and focal fiberglass speakers in car

It could be the setup of the speakers, but I would install a crossover equalizer for your situations. A crossover equalizer is supposed to automatically filter the necessary frequencies to the correct speakers. I have used no name and brand name XverEQs and they both worked the same for me. Along with this response I am assuming you also have Mids and Highs to go along with the woofers.

Replacing factory speakers in a 2-door 97 Cavalier

Just make sure they are the same size as your stock speakers and they should just fit right in no customizing needed. For a 1997 Cavalier it's 4X6 in the front and 6X9 in the rear. Shouldn't be too hard just a couple screws and hooking up the existing wire to your new speakers.
