If you want to remove ALL songs from you sansa go to my computer right click the icon that refers to your sansa model and click format. this will delete all pictures, videos, voice recordings, preset radio stations, and music. this is the only way i have find to delete music permanently. before doing this make sure you have your files backed up. also you must be in MSC mode to do this.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

How do you delete stuff on your mp3 player

Your SanDisk Sansa Player does not allow you to delete files from within the player. Deleting Music Files On Your Sansa MP3 Player When your player is connected to your computer with the USB connector, you can use your computer file browser software to view all files on your player. Your player will appear as Sansa m230 or m240. Follow these steps: Playing Music 1. Use the USB connector cable provided with your player to connect the USB port on the top of your player to an open USB port on your computer. The player will appear as a Windows Portable Device on your computer. (Can’t find the USB port on your player? See The Basic Controls section on Page 3.) 2. Delete your music files to the player with software tools like Rhapsody, Windows Media Player or Napster Client. 3. To use the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client software to delete files to your player please refer to the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client help file. NOTE: While you can store and organize your audio files on your player using folders with names you select, your player will ignore folders and names. My Sansa 2 gig MP3 player is "stuck" on check mark English and will not advance to any other programing instructions

Please try to reset your sansa as the ipod has hung up due to an error in the files. Find a small hole on the sansa, use a small pin to reset, the set should come alive. Connect your sansa to the PC, select and save all the files to a folder . then delete and format your sansa.thereafter load back the files after a virus scan and making sure are good uncorrupt files. This must solve the issue. Good day

How do i reformat my Sansa e260 mp3 player? I want to erase everything off the player and have it like new again.

Reset All
NOTE: THIS IS AN ADVANCED OPERATION AND RESTORES ALL SETTINGS
TO THE FACTORY DEFAULTS. NORMAL USERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED
TO PERFORM THIS OPERATION!
If your device freezes up press the Menu button and hold for 15 seconds.
This is like a power down of the device. Once you perform the reset, the adjustments you made during last operation
will be gone.....
Go to my computer click on folder scroll to sansa and open the media folder and open each sub folder and delete manually then delete the folders Right click on your sansa then format a couple of times hope this works

I can't delete songs off my sansa e200! HELP!

When you plug the device into your computer just look at it with the file manager. If you can't see the media files, make certain you have selected in windows "show all files". You need to see the hidden files, including operating files. Be very careful only to delete files that you think are the corrupted media files.
If you are on windows 7 you can look at my blog site which will explain how you can select the options to view all files.
It's under the section about windows media player art problems.

Cannot delete the songs on mp3

I do mine through Windows Media Player
1)Plug in Sansa
2)Open up Windows Media Player and wait for the Sansa e250 icon to show up under the library. First time, might say 'What device is this' or 'Autoplay'-for autoplay, you click 'sync media files to Sansa e250 using WIndows Media Player'
3)When library shows, click 'Sync' if it is not already there.
4)Just simply click and drag the songs you want from the computer library to the list pane on the side.
5)Once your done, click 'Sart sync'

TO DELETE
1)Plug in
2)Wait for the icon under Library in WIndows Media Player
3)Go to Songs under Sansa e250
4)Right click desired songs and choose Delete. You only want to delete from Sansa e250-nothing else

Weird music files on my Sansa e250 media player

Reformat your Sansa via My Computer. Right click on your Sansa while in my computer, and then FORMAT. Please understand that this will delete ALL of your files. You will have to resync any pictures or music. I had to do this in MTP, AND MSC mode individually to get rid of those pesky items.
