could be the bobbin thread tension is too tight or not out long enough to move around the case
could ne needle and hook timing where the needle and the hook are not in the correct place for the hook to pick up the needle thread
could be the needle in installed incorrectly so the cut away section is not in place to enable the hook to pick up the thread
If you have broken a needle just before the problem it could be the timing has moved and needs resetting
If none of these work for you, take it in to any service shop and have it properly diagnosed
Hi Jennifer.
If you've read the installation instructions properly and the machine still won't start you could have a faulty machine. As it's new you would have a warranty. I'd contact the shop where you bought it and get their advice.. DO NOT try to find the problem by taking the machine apart because this could void the warranty..
Good luck

if you turned it on without speakers hooked to it you may have blown the speaker output amps or if the end of the amp remote wire touched a ground you may have burned a trace on the board did you here it play at the pawn shop? or did it just light up? sometimes the people at the pawn shop think if the unit lights up it is working and sometimes they check them is just hook power to them without speakers if so this can blow the speaker output I would take it back to the pawn shop
Try resetting the device using the instructions here: http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/oleeview.pl?view=aa12_view_iframe.html&scy=gb&slg=ENG&refnr=0073626&dct=QAC&ctn=SA1VBE04K/02&session=20110909110350_81.52.160.132
Make sure you download the latest version of the software from the Phillips website before reinstalling and make sure you follow the instructions precisely.
If this doesn't work I would recommend returning it to the shop for a new one.
Its a complete procedure, with step by step instructions. The inner fender/ bumper needs to be taken off.But also there is procedure, in that you can drill two holes and directly ft additional bolts and install tow hooks.Click this link and go through detailed instructions :---

the humming noise is normal. parts of the element and fins are vibrating in its holder(s) - the electric when flowing through the coil sets up a small magnetic field.
Router is independent of the Operating System installed in the Computer. You have to configure the router according to your ISP (in this case BSNL). You can refer the User Guide of the Router for the instruction to configure the Router.
Or provide the model # of the Router so that I can give you the instruction to configure the Router.
If the low impedance light is on, the amp probably has shorted output transistors. If you don't know of a good local repair shop, call 'several' of the local audio sales/installation shops to see who they use. If more than one audio shop recommends the same repair shop, they probably do good work.
