Re: lcd screen is too dark

There is going to be something wrong internally with the lcd connectors, or maybe either the lcd or the connector is broken, you can determine this, moving your camera in diferent angles, if you are able to see the image better the problem is the connector, maybe is not making contact properly

Backlight spoilt for dsc t90

When the display is to dark or to light, the manual says:
Adjust the brightness of the backlight (page 18).
On page 18 it says:
This sets the brightness of the LCD screen. When viewing images in bright outside light if [Brightness] is set to [Normal], reset to [Bright]. However, the battery power may decrease faster under such condition.
You also can press the button with the > logo, to change between view pictures and record.

Kodak C513 dark screen

There should be a setting for the brightness. Unfortunately the manual does not show this. You can check step by step all the settings of the camera to search for the setting, or you can take it to a Kodak dealer for repairs and they will show you exactly what is wrong. If the camera is under waranty, go directly to the dealer for exchange, as this could be a camera fault.

In my w180 image is clear and bright in the LCD screen but when i downloaded the images to my PC it shows poor lighting and dark images pls help me

The lcd screen on your camera is back-lit and shows a brighter picture than the one you actually take. If you can turn down the screen brightness that may help. You could also raise the "exposure compensation" setting and experiment until you find a setting you like.

Dark screen when I turn on the camera and take pictures.

It looks like the LCD backlight malfunction. Check the backlight voltage, if you have the voltage there, you need to replace the LCD unit, otherwise the main board is defective.

I think that you are going to need the book for this one! If the image is bright on the screen but the image comes out dark, it might be in the settings. First, try to put the camera back to factory settings and try again.

The LCD screen is hard to see. What should I do?

If the LCD screen is too bright or too dark, adjust the LCD Brightness setting in the Setup Menu. If you are shooting photos outdoors in bright light, move the joystick to the icon showing the sun over shaowed area to turn on Outdoor mode and make the LCD screen easier to see in bright light.

Dark LCD

Is it possible that you've gone into M (manual) mode and the shutter speed is fast and a small aperture (large number) been selected? Or has the Exposure compensation been adjusted to be -2? Does it do the same thing in fully automatic mode? It certainly sounds like some setting has been adjusted incorrectly.
