I have 2 year old HP PL4245N 42" HD-Ready Plasma TV. All analog communication seems to have stopped. The only "working" input is the DVI. The DVI port is connected directly to the Verizon FiOS TV service.
I have tried connecting the DVD player/recorder with component cables and composite cables with no luck. Audio works fine, however. I simply do not have the ability to use the TV for anything other than the digital or FiOS cable.
This "seems" to be a major component failure. I am out-of-warranty. I purchased the 42" Plasma TV for $2,362.99 on Jul 17, 2005 I am completely frustrated, upset, and distraught. I really don't know what to do next. HP is unsupportive.
My work-around solution is to plug my DVD, Wii, and Cable TV, via component cables, into my Denon AVR-2105 Audio/Receiver, then take a component (3 cables) out of the receiver and then into a *converter box, out of the *converter box then into the DVI input of my HP PL4245N
