Open the print queue to view the jobs pending. Delete the jobs one by one (in order) until the clog is removed. then the remaining print jobs (if any) will begin printing.
Basically, a single page can clog the queue and prevent the remaining jobs from printing. If normal printing does not resume after clearing the bad print job, you may need to reinstall the print driver, or you may only need to select the appropriate printer from the print queue window.

I have an HP 4315 office jet. I just loaded a new cartridge, printed the alignment sheet, and have run it through the second time as it says but it gives me an error message. I've done it three times with two new cartridges. I was sure to take off the tape. What else could it be?
