I have a Panasonic CT-30WX54. All of a sudden it stopped responding to the remote. I can only control it by the front panel buttons. My other cable remote that used to control it is also no longer working...

You answer to the fuse thing is NO.

what is the issue here? well its the control board that holds the IR sensor that has failed OR

The lens is so dirty that the infra red is not passing threw it so try to clean off the lens with some rubbing alcahol. If that does not work then your going to need to have the tv repaired a control board is upwards of $70 bucks with your labor.

I hope this does help please do not forget to rate and leave feedback.

Remote control and buttons on top of tv wont work!

you unplugged the front panel with the buttons on it and the remote reciever
you have to slide the chassis out
reach in to the front and replug the front panel to the plug from the main board
then slide all boards back in place

Won't turn on

Once you take the back off there is a glass gma fuse withing a few inches of where the power cord plugs into the board at. This should be a 6.3 or 6.5 gma fuse. Very common to blow in your model because the degausing coil is a little to big for it. There are other reasons for it to blow but 99% of the time you change change it and the set will work again. Let me know if you need more help or info!

Will be watching tv and it goes light flshes on front(power)

There sounds like a bad connection, and or a heat related componet breakdown. I have seen mostly on this model number, bad connections on or around the flyback transformer, the horizontal driver transformer, the sweep power supplies, and or the main power supply. If the regulator IC is intermittant, or has a bad connection on one of the leads, it will cause this problem as well. Please if you have no solid state repair experience, seek out a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck Please do not forget to rate this thread.

Lightning hit last night tv won't work cable company says it's in the television

Sorry to here about your problem! This is the time of year I used to get tons and tons of sets, stereos ,games, and vcrs in for repair. On your panasonic it seems that maybe the surge took out the tuner portion or the power supply. It sould cost aprox. 200 bucks or so for a new tuner. Im sure your aware that homeowners will cover almost all repair after the deductable. Good Luck
