Dv2000 lcd

i bought a new inverter and installed it and still no backlight

can view windows if you shine a light on screen

pc works ok on external monitor

what else do i need to do to fix this problem

purchased this in dec 06
I have the same problem
I know someone who can solve this problem

the problem is your display. so you have to buy a new lcd screen. if it would be the inverter, you either wouldn't have display at all or you might see some lines or a greyed screen.

You need to take the dim switch out, it is inside the right hinge and the problem is resolved.
