Water inside refrigerator

Because your model has an evaporator located inside the fresh food compartment it also will have a drain opening below that evaporator. This is a common problem with these dual evaporator models that have drain blockage caused by ice or gunk blocking the drain and causing water to flow below the crisper drawers. Sea Breeze

Hole in coolant line magic chef stainless steel refridge

You will need to purchase a new unit. The problem when moisture and oxygen enters the sealed system, it breaks down the refrigerant into hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids, which then in turn damage the mechanical components. You have a major problem, and I'll save you a house call charge by telling you that the entire sealed system has to be replaced. If you only have the system evacuated and dehydrated, then recharge the system, which even if its done properly and legally, by an EPA Certified Type I Technician, in other words, not recommended for a DIYer, due to the process required, would still be a major repair, and would not last as long as it should due to the acid damage.

It sounds like the water tray for the defrost mode is full, you need to check if the tray has moved or maybe the door rubber are not sealing and this will cause extra ice built-up, and will cause the leak.

if it has ice/water in the unit, check the hoses going from the supply line at the inlet valve on the refrigerator rear section,if theres a hole in the tube, when the ice maker calls for water to fill the ice trays it will leak out this pin hole during the time the water supply valve is open and then shut off when the valve closes due to no pressure on the line then, thats probably the reason the puddles not always there

Fridge Compartment Ice

Freon can still be used but only by service professionals. The 134a coolant is not compatable with the old freon system without changing the seals.
