Seems to be a electrical/water problem. Ice tray does not fill with water. All other water on frig works. There is water in water line to back of freezer. Bad water valve? Bad Switch? I turned the unit off for several hours thought maybe it was freezing up no help.

Re: Maytag MS2732GRW ice maker quit
Guest make sure your wire arm on icemaker is down same dandcs also for orig poster they have duel water valves one goes to door water one goes to icemaker.icemaker works a general rule more than door water so wears out faster but you have to replace both as they are a unit .other things that will stop ice production are frozen ice fill tube ,bad motor module in icemaker .check that first .if that don't solve it then reply to me and we will get deeper

most of the time when that happens first thing you do is make sure water is getting to the solenoid for the ice maker if you have a water despencer you have water the solenoid for the ice maker is normally found in the back of frig near bottom pull frig out till you can get behind it look where water line goes into the frig solenoids for water and ice maker should be there. leave frig plugged up have someone use the water despencer feel whitch one that is replace the other one
Is there ice in the ice tray? If so the heater is not working to allow the scooper to push the ice out into the tray. If no ice in tray then the fill solenoid is not opening to allow water into the tray. Replace the solenoid.
The shut off arm is in up position. This is the off position for the ice make. Try pulling the down to the first level this will engage the micro switch to start the ice maker. Also, behind the ice maker is a 4 wire plug remove the plug and see if there were some electrical arcing. But first before removing the ice make plug--Please unplug the refrigerator first before work on the ice maker. stewbison
OK, Most times that would be the ice maker when they have an electronic module. Pour water in ice maker trays and let freeze. If it freezes and dumps but does not refill then the water control valve for that side is defective. If the cubes just sit there then for sure ice maker core.Let me know what happens and I will return soon with part numbers and locations, Thanks, Sea Breeze
Sometimes on a ice maker what will happen is the water line that fills the ice maker will freeze. You can use a large syringe filled with hot water and from the rear of the frig remove the water line where the hose goes into the rear of the frig and force some hot water into the tube to see if it is clear.
If the line is clear fill the ice maker manually and see if it goes through a cycle.
If it goes through a cycle you have to check to see if the ice maker is calling for water by putting a multi meter across the contacts of the water inlet valve located behind the panel on the back of the frig. Advance the ice maker to run through a cycle and see if it is calling for water. If you have current going to the valve and no water momming in, replace the valve.
If you do not have current going to the valve after the ice maker has gone through a cycle. Replace the ice maker.
