Before you do this you will need to know your username and password that you use to sign up with verizon. There is a reset button on the back of the modem, take a pen and hold in that reset button for about thirty seconds or so. That will reboot your modem back to factory settings. After the modem comes back on, plug your computer directly into the modem, and shut down your firewall program. Than load your internet browser, the modem should go to the verizon onlinne startup process. That should do it.
