Can't erase a message--pls help

Hello
My mom is a senior and lives in another state. She is trying to delete a message she accidentally saved on her machine. There's no delete button, only--- greetings, save, on/off, play and rewind.
Can you please help with how she can delete the message?

My mom unplugged it and plugged it back again. Voila! LOL. Sorry...it was an old model...Aircon something or other...anyhooo...love your site and thanks!

wonderful news.....I have to laugh...sometimes I *want* to tell people to "hit it on the side" to see if it does anything. hehehee
