Problem TV, mitsubishi 1080i 65" wide screen projection CRT model wide screen A65. Two problems:
1. TV displays all colors but has trouble holding proper zoom level, picture seems to dance back and forth, zooming and zooming out. movement is not extreme but noticeable on any channel with ID/logo in any corner. Problem occurs on all inputs, DVD, satellite, PC input
2. Unit began powering off by itself, not input required. Unit began powering off faster and faster.
Visual inspection revealed no cooked components, all looks to be intact. Unit was dusty inside but not severe. Minor vacuming/clean required. Power feed is thru Monster power filter, clean power 100% of unit history.
Problem began this morning. Any assistance would helpful.

It sounds like you have a 'blooming' problem. Blooming is caused by insufficient high voltage to the anode of your
CRT. The low high voltage allows the beam of electrons to spread too
wide and thus create a picture larger then the screen, to the point
that the screen appears to "bloom" especially on bright or white screen
scenes. The cause of the low high voltage can be the horizontal output
transistor, the damper diode, the safety capacitor, the flyback
transformer, and any of the associative circuitry of these sections of
the TV. I advise that you have a qualified TV repair technician examine
and repair this TV.
