Screen keeps going blank - then only works when connected to mains adapter or usb

The screen just dies when I tap the screen. I can get it working again by plugging in mains adapter, but it dies again when disconnected and the screen is tapped. The battery is showing almost fully charged. I have tried a soft reset, but no use.

I have the same problem, but sometimes when i connect the charger it does not charge or pcsync..
where the charge slot is on xda-orbit/htc-p3300, there is 2pins inside and if i slightly bend them to ensure a connection it works no problem.
however....
when i disconnect the phone from charge or pcsync, it keeps turning off.
any hints wat to do if hard reset dont work?

My Sony Bravia keeps shutting off unexpectedly. It does warn me with a statement on the screen that says" TV picture is about to go off" or something to that effect.

Wouldnt it be nice if it would say " Picture is about to go off because BLANK is bad and tell you what is was lol.. Anyway.. IF your set is an LCD tv then here are some symptoms and causes

Main pcb common failures picture and sound will at random just go off with a black screen. Green power light stays lite.

Power supply: depending on severity normally set will cut off and power light will go off or blink

Inverter board. Picture will go off but generally audio will continue to work

The panel (screen) itself could be going bad as well. Sometimes if its the panel you can tap (kinda hard) lets call it a love tap lol... across the top of the screen. If it starts working again then suspect the panel which costs more than a new tv..

There wasnt enough information in the complaint for me to rule some of these out for you. Hope it helps....

Tap on: the main screen. Tap on: Change Preference. Tap on: Arrow Keep tapping on the arrow till you reach Preferences 6 of 6 Page. Here you will find Battery saving preference. Tap on it. Tap on: Never dim screen. (I think you selection would be dim screen between instructions at present.). Tap done. On the next screen select : Device stays on when external power is lost. (A green tick mark should appear to verify it is selected.) Tap done.

Dell Inspiron 1501

If the laptop keeps working, and you can use it on an external screen, then it is likely an hardware fault.

First perform a complete system recovery, like probably already instructed by the Dell support helpdesk. This will practically exclude the possibility of a driver or system problem.

If the problem is hardware , then you may have a faulty inverter board , a bad LCD display/LCD ribbon connection, or a faulty video adapter (integrated with motherboard).

If the problem is the inverter, then the screen will go dark, and the laptop will keep working on external display. This is probably your case.

If the problem is LCD display or ribbon cable, then the display will be blank with light on , and the laptop will keep working on external monitor.

Fault concerning video adapter usually cause the the system not to work at all, and it is uncommon under conditions described.

you can now skip down to the MMS Messaging section and continue setting up MMS

60.) Tap Edit profile on the T-Zones menu.
61.) Tap the area below Data account on the Edit profile menu,
then tap the Select button at the bottom of the screen.
62.) Tap GPRS on the Data account menu.
63.) Find and tap on T-Mo Internet on the Data account menu.
64.) Tap the Done button on the bottom of the Edit profile menu.

back to the Select profile screen where a big green check mark will be beside the newly
saved T-Zones profile.
67.) Tap the On/Off button once to exit to the main screen.

Internet Access:
If all you want to use for internet surfing is the phone’s built-in browser, and you have set up
the data account service for the internet in the earlier setup, then you are ready to surf the
internet by simply tapping on Service from the main menu. Then tapping on WAP and using
the various options to navigate the internet like Homepage, Input address, etc. However, this
won’t provide as robust an internet experience as a Java based internet program such as Opera
Mini 3.1 or 4.1, or another java based internet browser. If you do decide to install a Java
program for browsing the internet, there is one more setting which must be changed prior to
using the Java internet browser.

Java Internet Settings:
1.) From the main menu tap on the Java icon.
2.) Tap Java settings from the Java menu.
3.) Scroll down and tap the area just below Java SIM1 (SIM2) profile,
which ever SIM you are currently setting up.
4.) Use the arrows to scroll the setting until T-Zones appears in the
box.
5.) Tap the OK button at the bottom of the screen.
Now you should be completely set up for internet on the T-Mobile network if you have a T-Mobile internet
plan!

Update

im sorry but you might have to be a bit more specific. I dont think u can update a ds game. and u cant connect it to the computer. the possible putcome i gathered from that is that he wants to play his game online and trade pokemon etc. meaning u need to connect the ds to your computer wirelessly using a
-nintendo wi-fi usb connector-( a usb drive u basically plug into ur computer and gives off internet for nintendo products) or a -wireless router or modem- ( the black box that the cables go through for internet).

When your grandson plays the game and wants to go online, (i will explain how to use this using directions in the game)
1. turn on the ds and load the game
2. watch the introduction movie (shiny pokemon)
3. on the main screen where you decide to either continue, new game, or -NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS-, go to nintendo wfc settings
4.tap the blue box labelled nintendo wi-fi connection settings
5.if ur using a Wi-fi usb tap connect to wifi usb or if using wireless internet tap a blank connection square
6. follow the prompts for the wifi usb and u will be connected to the internet
7. for wireless internet, tap search for an access point
8. when it has found the wireless internet tap O.K/connect/next etc and follow the prompts
9.when thats connected return to pokemon Diamond main screen then tap new game/continue to play
10. walk to the pokemon centre and go downstairs to battle online - or go into a house in
(Jublife city?) to trade pokemon online

WOAH!! that was a lot of writing!
hope i helped plz make a comment or something if u need my help again
