Re: Record btton cannot be pressed to record

In some models of cassettes there is a minor button named "DIR", it also locks the record function if activated !!

Re: Record btton cannot be pressed to record

On the side opposite the tape in each corner is a plastic tab. breaking out this tab disables the record function - it is called the "record lock" use a cassette with the tabs in place.

How to convert a tape player into a tape recorder ?

It can't be done. Sorry.

I assume that they won't let you buy a recorder for him. If so, have him wrote what he wants to say in a journal or notebook, or get the prison librarian to help with that.

Sanyo Stereo Cassette Recorder M7300K will not record and record button vey hard to push down

Make sure the tape you are trying to record to is not restricted (unrecordable or pre-recorded). You can look at the tabs on the top narrow band and if they are punched out the tape will not accept recorded material. (you can put scotch tape over the hole and still record but only if you are desparate!)

Sony m 750 V microcassete corder

Since it was not used for too long the belt inside would have been wornout, so u need to replace the belt. And a basic service from a near by electronics repair shop will definitely solve ur problem.
